Dr. Mark G. Swain, MD, MSc, FRCPC
Dr. Mark Swain, is a professor in the Department of Medicine at the Cumming School of Medicine, former head of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, holds the Cal Wenzel Family Foundation Chair in Hepatology, is a founding member of the Calgary Liver Unit.

Jenny Godley, PhD
Dr. Jenny Godley, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. With extensive training in demography and social network analysis, Dr. Godley has conducted quantitative research on the social determinants of health for over twenty years.

Dr. Carla Coffin, MD, MSc, FRCPC
Dr. Carla Coffin, a clinician-scientist and Full Professor in Hepatology, is an internationally recognized expert in hepatitis B (HBV) and hepatitis Delta. Dr. Coffin has served on expert panels for WHO, CDC, and international HBV coalitions. At the University of Calgary, she leads a multidisciplinary team investigating HBV pathogenesis and therapies using the woodchuck hepatitis virus model.

Dr. Turin Chowdhury is a Health Services Researcher with a focus on Immigrant and Refugee Health.Dr. Turin's primary research interest is improving access to primary care by the vulnerable population of the society, including new immigrants and refugees.

Dr. Mayur Brahmania, MD, MPH, FRCPC
Dr. Mayur Brahmania is currently a Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist at the University of Calgary. Dr. Brahmania’s research interests include quality improvement initiatives to advance and standardize quality of care in patients living with liver disease.

Henry Nguyen, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Henry H. Nguyen is a hepatologist and clinician-scientist based in Calgary, Canada. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Calgary and a physician in the Calgary Liver Unit.
His research focuses on the interaction between metabolism, the gut microbiome, and immune responses in liver disease. He is also involved in clinical trials evaluating emerging therapies for chronic liver diseases.
Outside of his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Nguyen founded Liver Health Connect, a community initiative that provides culturally tailored liver health education and outreach. This operates independently from his research program
